To meet the demands of Chuck Rainey, a legend in the bass world, the XPJ-1T Series, which merges a J-type pickup with the XP-1T, was born in 2013. By adding a J-type pickup, the XPJ-1T achieves a versatile sound making in various situations, from studio work to live performances.
The body and neck are manufactured by a Japanese supplier with a long-standing relationship of trust with Xotic. Then, the expert builders at Xotic Japan hand-paint, age, and assemble the basses.
Since 2017, the PLEK system has been introduced to scan the condition of each neck. Frets are leveled so that each bass is in its optimal condition, ensuring every single instrument is perfectly adjusted.
